Hi there and thanks for supporting our little family business. Here are some answers to FAQs to ensure our customers know what to expect when visiting our shop.

WHY ARE YOUR DONUTS EXPENSIVE?

Our donuts range from $4.50 to $5.99. They are labor intensive, artisanal, with top tier ingredients and made fresh every day by hand. Each donut takes over 24 hours to make, have tons of filling in them and they are also 40% larger than other industrial donut offerings… We are simply not Dunkin and will never be priced the same. We don't think they are expensive. They cost the same as a cup of coffee. Think about it ;)

IS THERE ALWAYS A LONG LINE?

Nope. We've made improvements to reduce wait times. We now have pre-orders and delivery available, which helped with our line bottleneck. Weekends are our busiest days and we tend to have a steady flow of customers, but no long wait times. We keep customers informed with how many donuts we have left on our Instagram stories. Follow us @Docedonutco so you can be in the know. 

WHY DON'T YOU MAKE MORE DONUTS?

Have you seen the size of our small shop?  Its 800 square feet and we have 90% of it allocated towards production. We are already producing at our maximum capacity (over 1,000 donuts a day). Our dough needs 24 hours of fermentation, so we don’t have more space to store and make more donuts.

DO YOU TAKE PRE-ORDERS?

Yes! We have online orders available for pick-up or delivery up to 14 days in advance. For large catering events of 4+ dozen, shoot us an email so we can help you out. We would need 48 hours in advance so we can properly plan and ensure we also produce enough donuts for the customers that in line.

UNTIL WHAT TIME ARE YOU OPEN?

In Fremont, we are open Wednesday thru Sunday from 8 am until 1 pm. In South Lake Union (SLU) we open Wednesday thru Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturday & Sundays from 9 am to 2 pm. We close shop if we sell out. At that point we close our doors and start prepping for next day’s batch. 

ANY VEGAN DONUTS?

YES! At DOCE we developed our very own 24-hour raised brioche-style vegan donut. Just like our other donuts, our vegan is made from scratch and raised for 24 hours. The result, a fluffy vegan donut like no other. This is a donut that vegans and non-vegans will both love. You will not be able to tell the difference!
